A better work environment with plants

If the summer of 2018 was any indication, we’re in for some pretty warm weather, and indoor climate control will become essential to creating a pleasant office.

Climate control seems like a hefty investment, but it doesn’t have to be that way, thanks to plants.

Plants can evaporate and transpire, which gives them the unique ability to cool down a space. The study shows that at various test locations with plants, there were significantly less complaints about the temperature. Especially in the summer, plants can help optimise climate control. On an average summer day, plants can help save about €4,10 per day, or about €0,19 per m3. Because there are less complaints about the heat or the cold, employees experience an office with plants as a far more pleasant environment than one without.
