The dyed succulents from Amigo Plant
Amigo Plant supplies not only 60 varieties from the standard assortment of succulents but also dyed versions such as the single-coloured Echeveria as well as various high-end versions decorated with glitter or beaded garlands. Amigo Plant has been dyeing plants now for more than 15 years. The water-based dyes that are uses in this process are not harmful to the environment or the plants - they simply continue to grow as usual.
Amigo Plant uses a 'colour calendar' that reflects the most frequently chosen colours of each season: warm colours for the autumn, for example, or cheerful pastels for spring. Mixes are also available. One of these is the 'love mix' for Valentine's Day that contains plants in a beautiful combination of shades appropriate for this special day.
The most familiar version is the monochromatic plant, which is available in a wide range of colours. But higher-end items are also produced by adding glitter, beaded garlands, or extra colours to represent, for example, the colours of a national flag. Also popular are succulents spattered with dye for an artistic twist: the 'Splash' effect. Then there's the 'Glowing Star in the Dark' (a plant that looks as if it's providing starlight during the dark winter months) and the 'Paint your Plant': a DIY package for children that lets them create their own little work of art by using the included brush, dye and gift card with space for a personal message in any language to fit any theme.
