Designing with cut foliage
Some leaves are true works of art. Like a monstera leaf, Calathea, happy Asparagus or tropical palm leaf. In a bouquet, green leaves make the flowers pop. But they can also take centre stage, combined with other leaves or as styling or accessories for an event or just a regular Thursday. Designing with cut foliage is always a good idea.
Green meets florals
As a filler, for structure, colour or even texture: almost all bouquets have some form of cut foliage for many different reasons. To give the bouquet a natural and full look, for example. Or to add a theme. Eucalyptus works well in a winter bouquet, and tropical leaves add a happy vibe to a summer wedding. Try to experiment with leaves you wouldn't usually add to a bouquet, like a Calathea, Strelitzia, or Philodendron. Combined with a few special flowers, these leaves reach their full potential.
Styling with cut foliage
We've all seen the single monstera leaf in the vase. It's a subtle and efficient (read: doesn't take up much space) way to add more greenery to your interior. But we'd encourage you to go for a little less subtlety. Instead of a painting or wallpaper, try pasting a few special leaves to the wall in a pattern or shape. Or use the loose leaves as part of a table setting, or use them as coasters during a dinner. Nothing is too crazy or too green- let your imagination do the job!
