The Mastergrowers sets the bar high

Every few weeks, we put one of our growers in the spotlight. This time, we are shining the light on The Mastergrowers.

For a master grower, the bar is always set high. As it should be, says The Mastergrowers, who have made great strides when it comes to sustainability. All new varieties from this grower are cultivated without stakes and, of course, without rings. By eliminating staked Hydrangeas, around 20,050 kilos of waste are saved each year. While unstaked Hydrangeas were a major innovation two years ago, they have now become the standard at The Mastergrowers.

Sustainable cultivation in the plant and flower sector is more important than ever. Not just for the world, but also for consumers, who increasingly see sustainable flowers and plants as a necessity. And The Mastergrowers understands this like no other. They are therefore going to communicate the sustainable properties of their products even more extensively and clearly on their new labels.

"Hi Diamond"

The grower has also successfully developed a heat-resistant Hydrangea collection: the Everlast. These plants remain resilient and beautiful for longer in warmer conditions, whether in the greenhouse or outdoors. This means less waste on the shelves and longer enjoyment for consumers. Additionally, they have an indoor flowering period of up to 120 days and are cultivated in an almost 100% organic way. The Everlast collection includes the varieties Hi Ice, Hi Diamond, and Hi Ocean.
